MAGNETIC LIFT SAFETY

Never use to lift round material.   Never stand under a load being lifted.   Always use extra caution.   Only use magnetic lifts on material that doesn't flex or bend.   The surface of the lift and the load need to be clean and free of chips, oil, slag, dirt, etc.   Not recommended for painted or finish coated surfaces.   Two or more lifts are required, when lifting sheets over 8 feet long.

DERATING FACTORS

Thin work piece - derate by 25% at 3/4" and derate by 65% at 1/4" material thickness.   Rust or scale on surface of work piece -derate by 25%.   Irregular or rough surface - derate by 50%.   High carbon, high chromium or cast iron material - derate by 50%.
